Our team is expanding as our organization continues to grow! 

We’re a fast-paced company, so we need versatile self-starters who are motivated by sport, excellence in quality of service and who will jump right in. There are rewarding and challenging positions open in a variety of areas in the company (see below for full time job descriptions).

Successful candidates will bring fun, creative energy to the group while also being super talented, motivated, and with a keen eye for details and logistics.  We're looking forward to taking on new and exciting projects this year and incredibly excited about the future and growing our team to bring the community together through sport!

Full Time Positions

League Operations Manager (Maternity Replacement with the strong expectation for the role to develop into a permanent position)

The League Operations Manager plays a senior leadership role in the internal operations of the Sport Hub team and manages the overall league details for OSSC. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in ensuring efficient organizational structure and processes are in place and followed, ability to work at an intense pace while keeping high attention to detail and someone who is a go getter. This person will work out of the Ottawa Sport & Social Club (OSSC) Office and report to the Executive Director.

League Operations Coordinator (Full Time Position)

The League Operations Coordinator is a key member of the Ottawa Sport Hub team and will be involved in many areas of the club with the focus being facility management, league operations and equipment. The successful candidate will be intrinsically motivated, have a bundle of initiative, success working independently and with a team, as well as have excitement for working both in-office and out in the field. This person will work out of the Ottawa Sport & Social Club (OSSC) Office and report to the League Operations Manager.

Contractor Positions

Soccer 7's Referee - (Contractual Position)

The soccer referees will be the eyes and ears of the OSSC in our refereed soccer leagues (Turf Soccer 7’s at Wesley Clover Parks). They will be required to have an excellent understanding of soccer rules, etiquette and OSSC policies. They will referee games, set-up the field (when needed), liaise with members and provide clarification of OSSC rules and policies.

The right applicant must be a positive, fun, outgoing and enthusitic person!  We have openings on Tuesday evenings for the Sprummer season.

Evening League Facilitators - (Contractual Position)

If you are positive, solution-oriented, enthusiastic and have an endless supply of energy, this could be the job for you! Come join a result-oriented, fun, dynamic, hard-working team of Evening League Facilitators in the sports logistics and marketing field.

Help raise awareness of leagues, tournaments, and events while maintaining a fun and active playing environment for OSSC players each night. Assist with training and supervising our Game Coordinators, provide support during conflicts, stock sporting equipment while visiting facilities across the city, and display unique problem solving abilities in this fast-paced position.

Must commit for an entire season - be it Sprummer, Fall or Winter. Available shifts are Monday to Thursday, anywhere from 5pm to 10pm (some may extend to 11pm).

Game Coordinators - (Contractual Evening Positions)

Come join our fun and outgoing team of Game Coordinators! Game Coordinators (GC’s) are the eyes and ears of the OSSC in our evening leagues. We are looking enthusiastic, positive, and outgoing people to work in the evenings to set-up equipment, oversee leagues, liaise with members, and ensure OSSC members are having fun!

Must commit for an entire season - be it Sprummer, Fall or Winter. Available shifts are Monday to Friday, anywhere from 6pm to 11pm – pick the night and location you wish to work. Great opportunity to make some extra pocket money, while meeting outgoing sports-oriented people. Required to be a sports geek or a social butterfly to work with the OSSC!

Volleyball Instructors - (Contractual Position)

Volleyball Instructors are responsible for leading OSSC players in our instructive “Skills, Drills & Play” program. He/she will be required to have an excellent understanding of the sport, an ability to break down the mechanics of volleyball and have experience with instructing and/or teaching adults. This person will provide input into each 8-week lesson plan (2 sessions), set-up the court if needed, and lead the sessions.  They will also provide clarification on OSSC rules and policies.

Warrior Workout (HIIT) Instructor - (Contractual Position)

Join our team and get Ottawa fit! The Fitness Instructor will be leading OSSC participants in our exciting outdoor "Warrior Workout" program starting May 13, 2019. The Instructor is required to have an excellent understanding of High-Intensity Internal Training (HIIT), an ability to motivate and share their passion for outdoor fitness and have experience leading co-ed adult groups.
