Stand Up Paddle (SUP) - Sun + Yoga

 

This class will shine a whole new light on what you expect in a yoga class!

 

You can’t beat the great feeling of yoga and the calming effects of being on the water. Grab a board instead of your mat as you enjoy yoga while basking in the sunlight. The class combines stand up paddling with your favorite Yoga routines and puts them on water. Develop improvements in a number of areas: core and limb strength, focus, sense of balance and coordination, as well as body and spatial awareness.

 

The class will only take a limited number of spots to ensure an intimate group setting so don't wait to register.

 

If you are interested in more traditional yoga then check out the NEW All-Sorts-of-Yoga - Discover Ottawa class on Thursdays! Each class will be held at a scenic location in Ottawa with a focus on Flow, Kundalini, Mobility and Yin.

Start/end dates

Tuesday: Starts Tuesday, July 10 and ends Tuesday, August 28.

8 weeks.

Class times

Class runs from 6pm-7:15pm.

 

Length is 75 minutes.

Price $230 + HST.

 

Bye dates


None. The instructor will provide information on arrangements to be made in the event of inclement weather. 

Class packages

Sprummer 2018 class packages will be dropped off on your first night of classes!
 
  

Class packages include: Detailed information about the class, as well as your OSSC key tag which provides you with excellent deals through our OSSC Partners.

 

If you want to pick up your package prior to the first class, extended office hours are:

Wednesday, May 9 - 9:30am-8:00pm
Thursday, May 10 - 9:30am-8:00pm
Friday, May 11 - 9:30am-6:00pm

What you need to know about Stand Up Paddle - Sun + Yoga:

# of participants

There will be a maximum of 8 participants to 1 instructor.  

Equipment

All equipment is provided (including life jackets). Participants are required to provide comfortable athletic wear that can get wet and be comfortable in water.

A bit about your instructor!

Your amazing SUP instructor is Jodi!

 

Jodi is a lifestyle and and outdoor sport performance coach. As an athlete Jodi has competed in alpine and nordic skiing events during the winters. In the summer months he has been a member of the Canadian wildwater kayaking team, competing in several world championships.  After discovering Stand up Paddling (SUP) on a trip in Maui, he has been spreading the stroke of SUP in the Ottawa - Gatineau Region!

Rules

All direction and instruction will be provided by the instructor on-site.

Class will take place at one of these locations (but not limited to):

Ottawa River, Lac Leamy, Rideau River, Meech Lake, Dow's Lake, Mousseau Lake, Pink Lake, Kingsmere Lake.
