All-Sorts-Of-Sports (35+ years) *ON PAUSE*

OSSC's League of Legends (35+) is returning for the Sprummer 2020 season!

 

The primary focus of this league is to bring Ottawa sport enthusiasts together to meet new people at a similar stage of life. Only two requirements - have fun and 80% of your team must be 35 years or older to participate.

 

The All-Sorts-of-Sports league is a perfect way to play all 4 of your favourite outdoor sports! Each week offers you a rotation of Ultimate, Soccer, Flag Football, and Beach Volleyball!

Registration deadline is Thursday, May 14th @ midnight!

LATE FEES will apply to all registrations received after the deadline.

 

 

Sprummer 2020 Details: 

Start/End Dates

Starts Monday, May 25 and ends Monday, August 31.

# of Weeks

14 weeks (12 week regular season + 2 weeks of playoffs).

Game Times

Rotating start times between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

Game length for Field Sports = 90 minutes.

Game length for Beach Volleyball = 60 minutes with rotating start times between 6:00pm and 10:00pm.

Note: Every effort is made to equalize the start time and game locations across the league.

Registration Options & Price

Team registration: $825.00 + HST.

After checkout, send your teammates roster invites through the website (under "My Team" player list) so they can accept the waiver and access the schedule and standings.  

Individual registration: $115.00 + HST.

You will be placed on a roster of individuals by end of day Tuesday May 19. For ease of communication with our office, teams must select a captain and co-captain on our website to represent your individuals team (click here to learn more about individual teams).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Captains can nominate another player, a friend, or a family member to pick-up the team newsletter and key tags, on one of the dates listed above.
  • Individual registrants: After Tuesday May 19, we ask all individual players contact their teammates through our website (you can log in, click on "My Team", then "Player List") to confirm who will be responsible for picking up your team newsletter and key tags on behalf of your team.

Rosters & Schedule

Individual team rosters will be posted online by end of day Tuesday, May 19.

Schedules will be posted online by midnight Friday, May 22.

Rules

Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

Score & Spirit Point Reporting

  • Game Scores (account for 75% of total points): Team captains are responsible for reporting the scores after your game by logging into your player profile and clicking on ‘My Team’ tab and selecting ‘Report Score/Spirit Points’.  Teams have a 48 hour window to report scores after the completion of the game.  Please be timely with your score reporting so league standings can remain updated for playoff positioning.
  • Spirit Points (account for 25% of total points): Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  For more information and how to properly award spirit points, please see our section ‘All About Spirit Points’.

Location

All OSSC games will be played within a 20km radius of the downtown core (please note in some instances there will be field locations outside the 20km radius.  These games will be equalized across all leagues/divisions and used sparingly.

Field locations can include (but not limited to):

Joan of Arc Academy, Robinson Park, and Terry Fox Athletic Facility.

Beach Volleyball locations include:

Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club, and Rideau Sports Centre.
