Dodgeball

Dip, duck, dive, and dodge with your friends this Sprummer in this fast-paced and exciting sport!

Dodgeball is not just for kids anymore! This sport is fun and easy to learn.

Always remember ... “If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!”

Registration deadlines are as follows:

Wednesday Leagues: Monday, April 20th @ midnight!

Monday Leagues: Thursday, May 14th @ midnight!

LATE FEES will apply to all registrations received after the deadline.

 

 

Sprummer 2020 Details: 

Start/End Dates

Monday: Starts Monday, May 25 and ends Monday, August 31.

Wednesday: 
Starts Wednesday, May 13 and ends Wednesday, August 26.

Thursday: Starts Thursday, May 14 and ends Thursday, August 27.

# of Weeks

Monday: 14 weeks (12 week regular season + 2 weeks of playoffs).

Wednesday: 15 weeks (13 week regular season + 2 weeks of playoffs).

Thursday: 16 weeks (14 week regular season + 2 weeks of playoffs).

Game Times

Rotating start times between 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.

Game length is 55 minutes.

Note: Every effort is made to equalize the start time and game locations across the league.

Registration
Options & Price

Team registration: 

Monday: $795.00 + HST.
Wednesday: $845.00 + HST.
Thursday: $905.00 + HST.

After checkout, send your teammates roster invites through the website (under "My Team" player list) so they can accept the waiver and access the schedule and standings once they are posted.   

Individual registration:

Monday: 
$120.00 + HST. 
Wednesday:
$125.00 + HST.
Thursday: $130.00 + HST.


You will be placed on a roster of individuals by end of day Monday, April 27 (Wednesday & Thursday leagues) and Tuesday, May 19 (Monday leagues). For ease of communication with our office, teams must select a captain and co-captain on our website to represent your individuals team (click here to learn more about individual teams).

Bye Dates

Victoria Day Weekend: Monday, May 18. 

Canada Day: Wednesday, July 1.

Civic Holiday: Monday, August 3.

Team Equipment & Package Pick-Up

Meet the OSSC office staff while picking up your team newsletter, key tags and sports equipment.  If you have any questions about your league, schedule or sport we’ll be ready to answer them.

  • Friday, May 22 (10:00am - 6:00pm)

If you would like to come by after the extended office hour dates above our office is open Monday to Friday from 10:00am – 5:30pm.  We request captains do their best to make the extended office hours as we have additional staff on hand.

Your team newsletter includes detailed information about the league, and your OSSC key tags provide you with excellent details from our OSSC Partners

PLEASE NOTE:

Captains can nominate another player, a friend, or a family member to pick-up the pre-paid equipment, team newsletter and key tags, on one of the dates listed above.

Individual registrants: After Monday, April 27 (Wednesday & Thursday leagues) and Tuesday, May 19 (Monday leagues), we ask individual players to contact their teammates through our website (you can log in, click on "My Team", then "Player List") to confirm who will be responsible for picking up your equipment, team newsletter and key tags.

Monday Leagues:

What you need to know about Dodgeball:

# of Players on Court

6 players (minimum 2 males and 2 females).

Suggested Roster/Individuals Roster Size

8-10 players.

Equipment

Teams are required to bring 2 dodgeballs to every game. Dodgeballs will not be provided on-site. 

If you do not want to bring your own, dodgeballs are available to rent at our office. A $75 refundable deposit is required and payable with credit card, cheque or through the website during online registration (in shopping cart).

Additional League Information


All teams receive:

  • An OSSC key tag which gives you access to discounts and deals from our amazing sponsors and partners around town! See all the deals!
  • An invitation to the OSSC end of season party

At the Wrap Party, winning teams in each pool and division will receive:

  • A personalized team trophy.
  • OSSC champion team t-shirts!

 

Rules

Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

Score & Spirit Point Reporting

  • Game Scores (account for 75% of total points): Team captains are responsible for reporting the scores after your game by logging into your player profile and clicking on ‘My Team’ tab and selecting ‘Report Score/Spirit Points’.  Teams have a 48 hour window to report scores after the completion of the game.  Please be timely with your score reporting so league standings can remain updated for playoff positioning.
  • Spirit Points (account for 25% of total points): Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  For more information and how to properly award spirit points, please see our section ‘All About Spirit Points’.
