Beach Volleyball Drop-In

Not your traditional Drop-In! 

Make your weekend plans easy with Drop In Beach Volleyball! 

Register for either of the two 8-week sessions on Fridays or Sunday and have many of the advantages of drop-in style play.  Play 4's or 6's, and mix teams throughout the afternoon to play with others at various skill levels.  Players are asked to monitor their own substitutions to ensure equal opportunity for all players and to play with new teammates every set.

Choose from Session 1 or Session 2 and consider your plans made!


Session 1 Registration Deadline is Wednesday, May 26th @ midnight!

Session 2 Registration Deadline is Wednesday, July 21st @ midnight!

COVID-19 Protocol & Guideline

We are committed to providing the highest levels of safety for our community.  


To ensure player and staff safety, we have implemented mandatory 'Safe Return to Play Protocol & Guidelines' for all Club Activities.  In order to play with the Ottawa Sport & Social Club and stay in good standing, the following guidelines MUST be followed.  A zero-tolerance policy is in place for those who challenge these decisions.   


To ensure a successful season, please remember to practice safe physical distancing and a positive attitude!


All players are required to read, understand, and adhere to all COVID-19 Guidelines.

Start / End Dates

Fridays:
Session 1: Starts Friday, June 4 and ends Friday, July 23.
Session 2: Starts Friday, July 30 and ends Friday, September 17.

Sundays:
Session 1: 
Starts Sunday, May 30 and ends Sunday, July 18.
Session 2: Starts Sunday, July 25 and ends Sunday, September 12.

Each session is 8 weeks. 

Game Times

Fridays: Drop-in will run from 6:30pm - 8:30pm (2 hours).

Sundays: Drop-in will run from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. (2 hours).

Price & Registration Options

Individual registration: $85.00 + HST.

Bye Dates

Sunday, August 1 (Civic Long Weekend).
Sunday, September 5 (Labour Day Weekend).

What you need to know about Drop-In Volleyball:

This is a drop-in program.

 

Your opponent will be different for each game. The courts will be reserved for 2 hours (stay for the full time or drop by when you like).

 

Open skill level, everyone welcome. Courts will be ranked according to skill.

Mandatory Requirements

COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS - Each sport has specific mandatory roster requirements.   

  • A maximum of 49 participants will be registered per session.  

1) Game day wellness checks “COVID-19 Self Screening” must be completed by all players prior to participation.

2) Players must maintain physical distancing of 2-meters before, during and after all activities.  This includes arriving on-site, playing the sport, resting/sitting on the sidelines, and departing the game.

3) No Spectators are allowed under any circumstance (this includes kids, family, ect).

Equipment Requirements

COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS - Teams are required to wash/sanitize the game ball before the game, between each set, and after the game.  Do not share your game ball with other teams, or move it to a different court.

  • Beach Volleyball nets will be set-up each week by the Game Coordinator. 
  • 1 Volleyball per court will be available onsite.
  • Scoreboards will not be provided on-site.

Sanitization options will be available on-site for Volleyballs.
