Pickleball Drop-In

A BRAND NEW SPORT FOR OSSC!!!

Just like you, we love our Drop-In programs, but this season continues to be a bit different.

Ontario is currently in Stage 3 which means leagues must contain no more than 50 participants total.  For that reason, we've capped these 6-week drop-in sessions to just 49 participants (and one Game Coordinator).

Even though you're now registering for 6-weeks of play (not exactly dropping in), you'll still have many of the advantages of drop-in style play.  You'll play various opponents allowing you to meet new people, and play with others at various skill levels.  Players are asked to monitor their own substitutions to ensure equal opportunity for all players.

Choose from Session I or Session II and consider your Sunday afternoon plans made!

(photos are not representative of the facility as this is a new sport for OSSC).

Session I Registration Deadline is Friday, September 18th @ Noon!

Session II Registration Deadline is Friday, November 6th @ noon!

How our Open Play will run (Split Bench System):

  • Teams (Pairs) are random to start the afternoon.
  • When a game is completed, the winning pair goes to a designated waiting area, the losing pair goes to the other.
  • When a court becomes available, the next 4 players in-line from one waiting area will begin playing (2 v 2).
  • Court availability rotates between the winning and the losing zones.
  • Your partner and opponent may be different for each game which will encourage a social atmosphere & a variety in game play!
  • The courts will be reserved for 1.5 hours (stay for the full time or drop by when you like).
  • Players are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair for between rounds.
