Outdoor Rink Floor Hockey "How To" Skills, Drills & Play

Feeling a bit “rusty” or just eager to play outdoor ball hockey?

Introducing Outdoor Rink Floor Hockey Skills & Drills, taking place at the outdoor Sens Foundation Rink at the Overbrook Community Centre! Whether you are a beginner who would like to learn the basics, or an experienced player looking for a fun workout while practicing your hockey technique, this program is for you.

Our 4-week clinic is geared toward improving your technical, tactical and physical ability all within a fun and enjoyable environment. This program will be led by Isabel Menard, a member of the National Women's Ball Hockey Team.

The focus is to improve stick-handling, shooting, agility, quickness & reactivity needed to perfect sports specific movements. Focus will also be on decreasing the potential for injury by improving balance/coordination and strengthening the area’s most susceptible to injuries. Once approved by the Provincial Government, a scrimmage will integrated in each of your 2-hour class.

All participants must adhere to physical distancing procedures and safety protocols when on site.

Note: Participants are required to bring their own Hockey Stick (plastic, wood, or composite sticks are allowed). Contact the OSSC office if you are interested in purchasing a hockey stick.

Registration Deadline is Friday, October 30th @ noon!
