COVID-19 Protocol & Guidelines

 

We are committed to providing the highest levels of safety for our community.  


To ensure participant and staff safety, we have implemented mandatory 'Safe Return to Play Protocol & Guidelines' for all Club Activities.  In order to play with the Ottawa Sport & Social Club and stay in good standing, the following guidelines MUST be followed.  A zero-tolerance policy is in place for those who challenge these decisions.   


To ensure a successful season, please remember to practice safe physical distancing and a positive attitude!


All players are required to read, understand, and adhere to all COVID-19 Guidelines.

Start/End Dates

Session I: Starts Sunday, May 30 and ends Sunday, July 11.

Session II: Starts Sunday, July 18 and ends Sunday, August 29.

# of Weeks

Each session is 6 weeks.

Hike Times

Hikers will meet at 9:00am at a designated location.

Each hike varies in length and time but will last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours in length, round trip.

    Price

Individual Registration: $65.00 + HST.

Bye dates

Sunday, May 23 (Victoria Day weekend).
Sunday, July 4 (Canada Day weekend).
Sunday, August 1 (Civic Holiday weekend).

Schedule

The meet up location and trail will be posted online and sent to participants two days prior to the hike, along with specific COVID-19 protocols.

Details

This is a outdoor social program.

 

Participants will be sent the meeting point and trail details ahead of time. Participants will meet the OSSC Representative and will embark the trail as a group.

 

Open skill level, everyone welcome. 

Mandatory Group Requirements

COVID-19 MODIFICATIONS 

 

  • This program will have a maximum of 25 participants per group (would be revised if there are changes to Provincial guidelines).  Once the first week has gone by, no additional participants will be added to the program.  

1) All participants are required to sign the waiver.

 

2) Hike day wellness checks “COVID-19 Self Screening” must be completed by all players prior to participation.


3) Participants must maintain physical distancing of 2-meters before, during and after all activities.  This includes arriving on-site, hiking, resting/sitting, and departing the location.

 

4) No Spectators are allowed under any circumstance (this includes kids, family, friends, etc). Only registered participants are able to participate.

Equipment
Requirements

COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS   

Participants are required to wash/sanitize their hands before and after each hike. Do not share water bottles, snacks or warm clothing with others.

Participants should wear a comfortable pair of shoes and clothing that suits the weather.


Rules

COVID-19 RULE MODIFICATIONS - Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

Hikes will take place at one of these locations (but not limited to):

Stoney Swamp, Pine Grove, Pinhey Forest, Shirley's Bay, Mer Bleue.
