A little bit about your instructors Maria and Stephane:
They have been teaching for nearly ten years. Their dance teaching technique has proven to give results in Salsa, Merengue and Bachata from beginner to advanced level dancers, covering the various Latin dance styles. For social dancing, performances, competition, or just for fun, their group or private classes will help you learn in a fun and enjoyable environment.
Maria was born and raised in Mexico. She started to dance Salsa with the troupe of a gifted dancer, Jose Enrique, from Los Angeles. He was at the time the number one leader in Salsa dancing who introduced the L.A. style in Mexico City. Her past performances include shows for world renowned artists such as Mark Anthony, Eddie Palmieri and La India.
Stephane was born and raised in Montreal. He learned and trained with Montreal and New York's best Salsa dancers in the New York Mambo style such as Eddy Torres, Santo Rico, Saltimambo, San Tropez Dance School and many others. He has performed for the Montreal Jazz Festival and for the Montreal Just for Laugh Festival, Tito Puente and in various television productions.
Maria and Stephane blended their style together. A winning formula that made them win many national level competitions. From Montreal they moved to Edmonton, where they implemented and popularized the New York and L.A. style Salsa. Since 2004 they have been operating dance schools, training outstanding dancers, creating choreographies and giving performances. Today in Ottawa, they care about sharing this passion for Latin dances with those who want to join this enthralling activity that is SALSA dancing.
There are two rules:
